Costa Rica: Hacienda Sonora Dry/Natural Process
This vibrant lil bean comes from the Central Valley of Costa Rica, a relatively wet and tropical climate with an average elevation of 3,900 - 4,000'. The soil is extremely fertile and excellent for growing coffee as its located at the foot of a volcano which enriches the soil with nutrients.
The Dry/Natural process commonly used to process African beans can be an extremely risky method for farms causing them to loose yield if they aren't careful with tending the beds during wet season. This is even more risky in more tropical climates like Costa Rica due to the rains but that's what makes this bean so special. The payoff is well worth it with a bright, vibrant and fruity sweet cup.
Don't forget to block off a little time in the morning for you.
Cheers!
